The Calm Collective: Online Mom Support Group for Stress & Anxiety
Moms Finding Calm in the Chaos
Motherhood is one of the most rewarding journeys but it comes with an overwhelming level of chaos. The chaos is not only limited to the ins and outs of daily parenting or caring for children but the stigma the society places on mothers to either choose to be a martyr or choose your career. The pressure to be a perfect mother is unsustainable. The anger and emotions that come with trying to find balance can be suffocating. Many moms deal with burnout, loss of identity, poor stress management, difficulty juggling multiple roles and relationships, feelings of isolation, and difficulty setting boundaries and communicating their needs in real-time.
The Calm Collective support group was created to offer a safe space for moms to feel supported while sharing their stories, learning new skills, and growing through the experiences of others.
Being a mom is THE most difficult job in the world. You have to keep little humans alive while trying not to lose your sense of identity. You get hit from all sides about how you should rear your kids, judgments about how you parent, and condemnation when you try to pour back into yourself, even a little bit. All the while, society expects you to be some type of martyr, give all of yourself, but not ask for help and don’t complain because it’s too taboo to be angry that your teen doesn’t listen or you are tired and out of your mind from being up with a sick kid or infant. Trust me…I get it.
Although being a mom can come with some awesome highs and moments of laughter and joy, it can also be so overwhelming that you want to throw in the towel or ask-when is my shift over? Moms often get overlooked, piled on, and even see as a unworthy or a person that has no value especially in the work space.
Why Choose a Support Group for Moms?
Moms often hide the mental health challenges that are often impacted or exacerbated through the daily stressors of being a mom, whether you are a career mom, single mom, or married. The support group can help you address your anxiety, feelings of inadequacy, and struggle with stress management. The group will provide:
Empowerment: Build your self-esteem in yourself and confidence in establishing an environment that allows you to thrive
Connection: Connects you to other moms with similar concerns, gives you a chance to connect to and learn from their stories.
Growth: Learn to navigate how to find balance and calm in all the roles you juggle.
Healing: Explore different ways to create quality and consistent care for yourself
Support: The space to process thoughts and feelings while gaining the tools you need to advocate for yourself and find ways to manage anxiety and stress.
